![]() The Bansenshukai Dojo was given its name by Tanemura Soke. The name 'Bansenshukai' has the meaning of 'All The World's Rivers Collect In The Sea'. This name is taken from the most famous of all books written on the art of Ninjutsu in the 17th century. The word 'Dojo' means 'a place to practice The Way'. A dojo can represent a place where one can let go of external distractions and focus on one's self. By training hard and with perseverance, we do not just condition the body, but also the mind and spirit. Ultimately, the dojo becomes a place carried within your heart. It is a place that shines brightly into the dark world around you. It is for the betterment of yourself, but also your community and the world. Consider this set of Dojo Rules which come from before the time of Takamatsu Sensei: I. One must learn patience within the time it takes a cigarette to burn. II.One must learn that the way of man is righteousness. III. Forget desire; forget easiness; forget stubbornness. IV. Think of sadness and grudges as destiny. One must comprehend the immovable heart (Fudoshin). V. Do not distance one's loyalty from one's parents and rulers. Try deeply to master culture and martial arts. Our dojo is located about 10 minutes from I-95 at: 27 Albe Drive (Suite E), Newark, Delaware. If you are interested in attending our classes or for more information, please contact the Bansenshukai Dojo at (410)441-1340. Our schedule is as follows:
