MARK BRAMBLE

Mark Bramble is the Head Instructor (Dojo-cho) of the Genbukan Bansenshukai Dojo and personal student of Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura.

He first began formal martial arts training as a child, though it was not until 1991 that he began training in an art that changed his life. At the age of 15, he started training in Ninpo Taijutsu, traveling an hour or more away, 5-7 days a week. In addition to training, he was also asked to teach some classes at the Dojo.

During this period he also trained in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Aikido, and Aiki-jujutsu. In 2000, after receiving his Godan(5th Degree) under that teacher, he decided to leave that instructor to pursue a more traditional Ninpo training.

After training with a few teachers he committed to pursue training in Genbukan Ninpo Bugei. Traveling to New York to train each month, he knew that he had found his martial home.

In 2005, he went to Japan to train with Tanemura Soke (Grandmaster) at a Taikai seminar. In 2006 he was accepted as a direct student and now travels nationally and internationally to train with his teacher.

Tanemura Soke has given his Dojo the name of 'Bansenshukai', which means 'All The Worlds Rivers Collect In The Sea'.

Mark has been inspired by his teacher that has lived this art for over 50 years while maintaining a gentle and compassionate spirit. It is this nature that he hopes to offer to students across the East Coast. He currently trains students in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, and is beginning a training group in Florida.

Mark Bramble's current Genbukan rankings include:

Ninpo Taijutsu Sandan (3rd degree black belt)
Kokusai Ju-jutsu Nidan (2nd degree black belt)
Gyokko-ryu Tanemura-ha Shoden Menkyo
Koto-ryu Tanemura-ha Shoden Menkyo
Bo-jutsu Shokyu
